Napoleon Used JBLS Rule # 17 for Success

In the age of Voltaire, one could read evey book that had been written in the west. A new book was a big event. Napoleon was an avid reader and traveled with a library in his coach. After finishing a book he would throw it out the window. People could always find the emperor by following his trail of books.

He was in fact following JBLS rule # 17. "I am constantly learning by reading a book a week."  However, I suggest you circulate your books to deserving friends, instead of throwing them out the window of your Bond car.
