  •  "Here's a medal for Dan Longoria and his wife."

    Dear Paul,

One of my store customers is a young man in high school.  Because of the way his awkwardness and physical inabilities, he was constantly made fun of.  Paper wads thrown at him, girls laughing at him, verbally abused on the school bus daily and worse of all, was getting picked on and beat up, on a regular basis.

I gave him a copy of your book and my wife took him out and had his hair styled and we got him a couple of nice, dressy shirts.

In less than two months, he walks straight and tall, always dresses well, is constantly given positive feedback on his artwork, has a girlfriend AND NO LONGER GETS PICKED ON!

And to top it off, his past tormentors treat him with a new respect and dignity.  Paul, EVERY man on the planet needs to read your book.  It's helped me and it's helping this young man.

    Dan Longoria

Dan and his wife are real heroes for helping that boy.............Paul

  • There are good people everywhere, and that is good to know.

  • Yes, they are. Isn't it wonderful what a little help and encouragement can do for someone? I completely understand how this both sides of this story feels. Thank you for sharing this sweet success story.

  • Kudos all around! Kudos to you for your superior book, Kudos to Dan and wife for helping out a shipmate and Kudos to the young lad for taking on the world... and winning.

*Note to self: Have Dan's wife take me out for my next hair cut!!!*

    HA!

    Sail on... sail on!!!

  • ah, maybe i should read your book. i am feeling picked on by life and would like a little respect from my tormentors! yeah!

  • ...YES, and that they had THE BOOK to share with him! MuSe

  • Hey, glad to see you still haven't lost your touch. It's great to visit again. Your site seems to have a habit of rubbing me the right way everytime I come here. The Bond Life is oh so necessary. Bond will always be my all time favorite successful-spirited-adventurous kind of stud. I especially dig The Thomas Crown Affair. Thomas Crown is another type like Bond. Don't you think so? I do. *giggle* Take care Paul.

  • That was beautiful Paul. What a wonderful post.  Thank you for sharing that with us!

  • Thank you very much for sharing that with us. My regret is that your book wasn't available when I was growing up, or even when I was in my 20's; however, there's no time like the present and I'm glad you've got it out there now.

When I mentioned wanting to tidy our home last night, I think my wife was wondering who I was and what I'd done with her husband. Thank you again!
