Roger Moore Breaks Rule #6
On May 7th Roger Moore collapsed on the Broadway stage. He was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion. James Bond Lifestyle rule #6 reads: "I eat fruit, vegetables, drink water and sleep. Which shows that even 007 needs to follow the rules.
To Moore's credit, after a 10 minute break, he finished the play and was then taken away in a wheel chair, which follows rule #9: "I never give up, but I can change directions. Before you go on your next mission, tank up on clean, fresh water. Why let not takinga nap and few sips of H2O let Oddjob get the upper hand on you?
Lessons from "School of Rock"
The movie concerns a broke musician who perseveres with his passion to have a successful rock band. He is forced to take a day job to sustain his dream. Finally he gets his piece of the action with the hope and opportunity to expand on his dream.
There isn't enough room at the top for everyone to be a rich and famous singer, actor, writer, or whatever the profession. But there is always a way to make a living with your dream, or at least get your piece of the dream, with the hope for more to come. There are thousands of nightclubs that need musicians and singers. Even more magazines, newspapers, and web sites that need writers. And every town has a theater group. Rich, can be accomplished in other ways, but you can always find a way to get your piece of the dream.
Francis Ford Coppola recently said, "Don't be afraid to take a risk for your dream. If you give up, you've already lost it, so why not take a chance. You can't do any worse than losing it by giving up."
So keep the passion for your dream, as the "School of Rock" hero does. Get the job that will give you the funds to sustain your dream. Then put the extra time, work, money, and skill into getting your piece of the action. After all, James Bond's best quality is his perseverance. And whether in the casino, a resort, or golf course he always gets his piece of the lifestyle.

Good advice, but hard to follow. Especially when Bond is on a mission.
But more importantly, what are all the Bond Lifestyle rules?
...ah, from one who knows...frequent flyers are prone to dehydration. Salaam.

Now, THIS is an advice I follow rigorously.
Paul,
I've applied Rule #6 rigorously for 4 months. I've lost 20 pounds and my energy level is through the roof.
Grab fruit instead of candy. Grab water instead of cokes. Chow down on salad with dinner. Watch the fat melt away.
Eric
we mountain bikers have a saying - hydrate or die. right on, paul!
Perhaps sending a copy of Bondlife to Roger Moore is in order?
Great entry Paul!!
Sail on... sail on!!
I try to saturate myself with water before going anywhere. Being thirsty is a distraction, besides not all that healthy. People at work marvel I make and bring my own lunch, even though I don't feel I'm doing anything incredible. It saves money for other things, it's healthier, and I want to sit for my hour, not be scurrying to fast food places. And I read while sitting and eating, which they also think is something unusual? As I've told them, reading is a mental vacation for a few minutes, and gets me out of the store, if not literally.
Hear hear! Water = life.
I can vouch for this one. Never give up, just change directions.
